Head Cook – The Blue Boar
£9ph, est. 40 hrs per week.
We are looking for a fitting candidate to become Head Cook in our large kitchen. Hopeful applicants must be efficient and versatile, as well as friendly and presentable.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, cooking to order from lunch/dinner menu, preparing large buffets for events, cooking breakfast for hotel guests, ordering and checking stock, cleaning and general kitchen maintenance.
Cooking in our kitchen means more than just preparing food, the position will require talking and interacting with customers, checking in/out hotel guests, taking telephone calls and bookings, as well as being on-hand to aid other staff members with non-kitchen related tasks.
This is a chance to join a fun team in a fast-paced and popular establishment, being the largest and most historic independent public house/hotel in Maldon. You will gain the opportunity to work with the front of house staff to develop and define the kitchen and menus, allowing room for creative input and personal touches.
